Louise Bracken-Smith (12.01.1973 – 12.07.2023)

We are devastated to announce the passing of our dear friend, co-founder and former CEO Louise Bracken-Smith.  

Louise started her career in the international finance sector more than three decades ago and was considered by many to be a trailblazer. A well-respected accountant and Jersey girl, she was one of very few women to hold such a senior position in the financial services sector back in the early 2000s.

Fairway Trust Limited was set up in 2000 and after falling in love with the Private Client world, Louise chose to take her STEP exams, holding the world record (at the time) for completing them in only eight months. During her career, Louise became a multi award-winning Trustee, recognised as a leader in her field by colleagues, clients and industry.  As CEO of Fairway Group, she was a champion of wellbeing and a talented athlete, representing Ireland in the veteran age group at the 2019 Triathlon World Championships.

Outside of work Louise was a dedicated wife to Pete and mother to four wonderful children, Harvey, Freddie, Max and Georgie. 

She was a remarkable and inspirational person, and it was a privilege to work alongside her and to have been part of her life.
